Bud XL
A truly unique product, House & Garden’s Bud XL is an innovative late bloom additive. Bud XL helps to extract sugars from large bracts, allowing more sugar and energy to be concentrated on fruit and flower production. By doing so, the yield, robustness, and sweetness of the harvest can increase.
Derived From: Ammonium Nitrate, Nitric Acid, Potassium Hydroxide
Ingredients Explained: Bud XL is a late bloom flower enhancer that helps to extract sugars from bracts and transport them into the fruit for bigger and sweeter yields. House & Garden maintains their own nutrient manufacturing facility as well as their own laboratories where they continually test each batch of fertilizer they produce. This ensures that gardeners employing House & Garden receive high quality, consistent products.
Application: Start adding Bud XL to the nutrient solution after the first flowers are formed. This is the period when big bracts loose their function. Adding Bud XL helps to ensure the plant’s energy is being used to create blooms and yield.
Available Sizes: 1L, 5L & 20L

Can bud xl be harmful to use in soil that you would use year after year.
Hey Reek,
Bud XL is extremely safe when using the soil repeatedly! Bud XL is a diet to encourage natural plant growth. This product does not have high levels of PK!
Happy Growing! Rob
does this product have citric acid, l-alanine, l-arginine, l-aspartic acid,, l – glutamic acid, l-glycine, basically all the things in big bud advanced nutrients. because i wanna go with you guys but the advanced nutrients claims to have the best and it seems like it. please sell me otherwise. i like h and g.
The short answer is Yes. The biggest difference is that Bud XL sources its enzymes, aminos and sugars from whole food sources.
Hello
my reservoir tempratures drops to 15C/62F
will using an aquarium heater inside the res’ ruin / damage the Enzymes of the Bud-XL ? (and your other additives for the growing phase?)
I need to find a heating solution that will not damage the fertilizer.
Thank you very much
Hey Tom,
Aquarium heater will get you by but they do offer coils to warm the water. DO NOT ever let water run below aquarium heater glass, this will cause it to explode!
Happy Gardening!
”””””I am not a pro by far, but over the past 28 years I have exp. allot of trial -n-ERROR. I was a golden grow user for at least 15 years, with better than average results. That whole Co. either got so rich they decided to retire, or one of the co. heads got a divorce and went BANK-O. either way that company is no longer…never the less had one of the youngsters that worked in the shop telling me in depth about this stuff. Ring up the “House & Garden” I told him to hook me up with enough or a full run.
HOW MUCH? $$$.$$$$I thought it was a lil high but i wanted, well, the best so i figured wont know for-sure unless I run it myself….you can read, read, read…but you just do not know until you do it. (with the website calculator S N A P! DONE. ) Well here i am week 3 of flower how, HMMMM how can i put this Mild….”H O L Y Freakin’ GB!!!!!!!!!!!!” keepin it Rated PG. I am very impressed. The old saying is more true now, than ever….
YOU–GET–WHAT–YOU–PAY–FOR .
Well if this finishes half as strong as it looks like itz gunna I am a sold customer. Thanx to all for “keepin’ It Green”
so after i just watered i realized the bud xl part of the nutrient calculator is screwed up….i added 300 ml to my 40 gallon res cause it said 350 in the nutrient calculator….later i saw on the bottle it says 3.8 mils per gallon which only comes out to 152 mils….then i went back to nute calculator and it has bud xl in g instead of ml……is it gonna fry my plants….im really hoping not as its our 2nd run ever with house and garden after growing for 12 yrs and useing bio bizz most of that time…and last run i followed the schedule and everything got fried so this time everything is looking good so far as we have cut the schedule 25%…..so im really hping this doesnt totally screw us….and most of all hope you guys fix that part of the nutrient calculator
Hi Darin,
We have been made aware of this problem on the Nutrient Calculator and we are addressing it now. You will want to start over on your reservoir. Maybe flush for 1 day just to make sure with proper PH water. Peace!

what week do i start useing bud xl?
Hi Catherine,
Depends on how long your flowering period is. For an 8 week plant, start Bud XL at week 4. For a ten week plant, start Bud XL at week 5. For a twelve week plant, Start Bud XL at week 6. Peace!

Ive been running your full line in soil with nothing short of amazing results but my question is can I still add the old fashion molasses while running your full line or is there anything in there (like the bud xl) that would make it either not ok or tware I should lower the amount? I typically would add 1-2tbls per gal depending on the size of the plant/tree
Thanks
Hi Rojo,
I wouldn’t recommend using mollases because it isn’t needed with House and Garden. However, if you really want to, it won’t hurt.
Hi,
So bud xl is more for size and sweetening, i was told it increased oil production in flowering plants is this true? I use cha ching and was wondering if the two products would harmonize well
Thanks
Hi GrowDro,
Yes, Bud XL is for size and sweetening, it’s an enzyme and not a food. You’l be fine to use it with Cha Ching. Peace!

I am curious if there would be any complications for using a Carb(budcandy) additive in conjunction with Bud XL?
Hi Cassidy,
You know, most of the sugars in products like Bud Candy don’t ever get used by the plant at all. You can use it with Bud XL and see for yourself, but I don’t think it will help to improve anything. Peace!
